Week 11- Last post

I already filmed this movie in building 5 with Evelyn. The filming process were good although there were some chalengge during the shooting. Because the cemra's battery are suddenly low, so I need to charge it and waiting until the battery is full for almost 1 hours, but thank God the finally the scene where I am interviewing Evelyn are finished. Just need to do one more interview with Alex. I plan to interview him this wednesday in Blue building then after that I could start doing editing for this movie. Hopefully this is going well and I could achieved good results in this movie.

Week 10- Shooting begins

This weekend, I already start to filming this movie. Thanks for Toula who already gaves extension to submit treatment and script on Monday so i still have chance to fix some parts of my treatment. The filming is not finished yet although it is almost done. And I did some changes to the location for filming this movie. As before I wants to film it at PC I change the location to Building 5 because considering that area are more suitable to do the interview and not really noisy like PC.Besides, I really wants to say thank you to Evelyn my best friend and Alex , he is Malaysian student who studying at Diploma of IT at Insearch. They already share their story based on their real experiences. I know it is not easy and I really appreciate their effort for helping me.Last but not least I want to thankful to Sadik my cameramana . He really help me a lot during the process of filming.

Week 9- Script finished

I am quite relieved because finally I finished the script this week, but I am still not sure about the script because I afraid if I did mistakes on grammar and I also confuse about the structure for the script.I will double check it with Toula after I finished treatment and synopsis for this movie. There will be only 2 interviews in my movie. I start to filming it next week with Sadik, hopefully the filming process are going well. The filming will take places in prince centre and blue building considering this location are quite close to bring camera and all equipment for the movie. And because all of my interviewee are Insearch students this place are accessible so I could do the interview directly after they finished lecture or tutorial.

Week 8- Ask help for filming process

This week I started to contact Sadik Al Sonosy, he is my friends who just graduated from Insearch last semester. He was studying communcation at Insearch before. I ask him to help me to be a cameraman for my movie. As I am shooting this movie by myself and I will also be involved in this movie,I need someone to operate the camera and help me to editing the movie as well. And for editing, I might ask Gladys to help me doing editing as Sadik is quite busy with heaps of assignment in Macquarie. I already make an appointment will all people who will be involved in this movie to filming on weekend. Probably on friday or saturday because I am available on that day so I need to make sure everything is going well. Besides, I already start to write the script for this movie, this movie will be based on interview but not too much dialog as this is only short movie and I am doing it by myself so I change my idea from 3 interviewee to 2 interviewee because i think it is easier for me to do this and for the editing process for the movie.

Week 7- Camera tutorial at class

This week in class,Toula gives tutorial about how to set up camera for filming, and I think this tutorial were very useful for creating my movie. Actually I haven't start to make my short documentary movie yet. But I've found 3 people to be interviewed in my movie. They are international students at Insearch who will share their real experiences when they are being discriminated during their study in Australia. One of them were my friend from business faculty. She will share her story when she was in high school. She faces barriers of making friends with local students,and and she feels being distinguished because she speaks different language with all of them and it was a big stress for her to handle that situation. I plan to shoot the movie around Insearch. the interview will be held in Prince Centre considering this is strategic place for interviewing as all my interviewee are insearch students

Week 6- Location for filming the movie

The script of my movie is still not written. the idea to making this movie is already formed however i haven't found the actor and actress who wants to be involved in my movie. My short movie will be 3 minutes duration and in depth interview with 2 or 3 international students at Insearch will be included as a story in this movie. They will share their experiences about discrimination that has happened to them during their study in Australia. It will be very interesting, because it is based on real experiences so their emotions and feelings can be delivered in this movie. My short documentary movie will be made around Insearch as my target audiences are for international students at insearch. probably at Prince Centre and blue building considering that place is quite close to bring the camera during the filming process.

Week 5- Idea for movie

I've got an idea to make a short movie for my project. I got this idea from some interview that i've done to insearch students, asking them about what idea they have to make an movie that will be interesting and able to attract the audience.
Based on my interview i got some ideas to be added in my short documentary movie.
So, this movie will be based on interview with several insearch students from different background and religion about the discrimination that happened to them. Then, they will tell their real story about the discrimination that has happened to them during their study in Australia. I think it is good idea to filming the movie based on real story because the it will attract audiences to watch this movie and raising awareness regarding to bad impact of discrimination but i just afraid if some of them who has real story about discriminaton do not want to be involved in this movie because they feel embarassing. so far my plan are to interviewing 3 people from different nationalities to showing diverse culture and background of Insearch students

week 4

During the research that I've done so anynomously I decided to make a campaign about discrimination against international students at Insearch. This topic delivered message to international students at insearch about discrimination in Australia and how it is affected their safety issue. I choose this topic because I think this topic is very suitable with the issue of social awereness and this campaign will be related to my project documentary movie. Besides, this campaign are expected to create social awareness in australian's society to see how international students that coming to study here are being discriminated and that is really affect their safety issue as well.

At the moment, I still haven't got any idea about how to make an interesting movie which is not boring and able to attract audiences ,but I plan to do interview with some insearch's students, asking them about their idea to create this short documentary movie.

Week 3

In this week, I haven't got any idea what story should I made in my movie, because its pretty hard to create a project movie by myself so I plan to create short documetary movie. The duration is about 2-3 minutes only. I'm thinking to make black and white effect on my short documentary movie, however I'm still not sure whether it is good effect for my movie or not.

This movie should deliver strong message to the audiences and makes them realise about how important are their safety and hopefully the impact from this movie are able to decreased the number of international students at Insearch for being a victim of harassment.

This movie will be simple, clear and easy to understand by the audiences. Therefore, I will conduct several interview and questionnare with Insearch students, ask them what ideas they to make this movie and what is interesting for them.

Hi everyone,welcome to my blog. The purpose of this blog is to provide and give details information about safety for international students who study at insearch. Besides, hopefully this blog will create awareness for international students to defend themselves if they got into trouble. Australia is on the third place as the country with the largest number of international students.
